Good Morning All,

We are doing an auto to 4 spd conversion and have a perfectly good complete auto stick set-up. Everything is complete from the front of the car to the rear. The car has less than 80,000 miles and has been meticulously maintained. All parts are in perfect working order and we are hoping someone can use them. We are asking $600 for the entire setup and would prefer to not part it out, but if we don't get any interest in the whole set up- we will have to part it out.
The reason for the swap....#3 cylinder threw a rod. We pulled the engine out this past weekend and expect to be completely finished with the swap within a month- we are not rushing and we are making sure that everything remains operational and in excellent condition. Please email me for more info and for pics- I will post pics as they are available. Thanks and Have a Great Day!!!

Hello,

Where are you located? I am looking for Auto-Stick parts. I think a complete low mileage setup will work the best for my dual Kadron'd 1641cc. My car has a metric butt-ton of miles on it, and it sat for 10 years. The tranny is kinda noisy, and the control valve is toast. Depending on where you are, I would love to have the complete setup. Let me know. You can also call me. Evan @ 925-586-6055. I am in Concord, California. Any day between 8am-9pm.

I am located in Belmont, Ca just South of San Mateo. All the parts from the Bug are in mint condition. There are no issues with any of them. We removed the engine last Sunday and are hoping to finish removing the rest of the Auto-Stick Parts this weekend. Please feel free to give me a ring this weekend between 10am and 5pm either Saturday or Sunday. I hope you are not in a huge rush for all the parts immediately. We are very cautious and careful when we dis-assemble and it might be another week or two before it is completely ready for you to pick up. I will take some pictures this weekend so you can see what condition everything is in. Thank you for your time and your quick response. Oh yeah- shoot me an email to ajcarguy72@sbcglobal.net and I will reply with my phone number. Have a Great Day!!

I'm not in a huge hurry. I still have to finish building and engine for my buddy's oval, and install a lowered beam and Ghia discs on my A/S. Plus, I just got the bug running a few weeks ago, I don't feel like pulling the engine out anytime soon. I will just fight the shifting issues for now. I have pretty much figured out how to drive the car with the intermittent fubared shifting. I feel sorry for anyone else who drives it!!!

I will send you and e-mail shortly. Thank you!!!

Evan, got your email and I responded to it. Hope you have a great weekend and talk to you soon.

Update on Parts......All but the shift rod and the shifter are now out of the vehicle. The engine also did not throw a rod- it is actually a rod knock and after further investigation- it is in the #1 cylinder- not number 3. The transmission setup has been spoken for (pending arrangements for pick up) but the engine is available (complete) if anyone is interested. Thanks for the responses and Have a Great Day!!

I still have a 1970 AS available :).  It is almost removed from the chassis (just waiting on the 12 point 8mm snapon socket driver to remove the axles) and was working great at the time of car tear down.

Is this the original motor (SP 1600)?  Let me know as I might use it for parts on another project

Thanks
