I'm going to get some made at a hydraulic hose place. Does anybody know what type of hose should I get?

Hiya Untitled,

The hoses are pretty starightforward to manufacture.  However, you will be miles ahead if you take your old hoses to the hydraulic place.  Once you explain to the counterman/tech just exactly what the application is he has all the other information (in the form of the old hoses) he needs.  By the way, don't forget to tell him that the hoses will run in the proximity of high heat (the muffler).  Expect to pay around $75US for both hoses.

As I live in a Farmimg Community, I had My hoses made up from a Farming Hydraulic shop and they were inexpensive... I know if I took them to an Industrial hydraulic shop they would have been very expensive. You need to take the fittings also with the hose. The Hose is RT1 or R1 or T1 which has one steel braid.
Hydraulic hose is manufactured to take a lot of heat and pressure. It should last a lifetime. At the price the Industrial Hydraulic people charge, it should too... Best of luck..
