Carb and vac lines

Looking over my new '72 autostick, I noted that the carb had been replaced at some point with a BOCAR.  Not the best quality, but whatever.  Anyhow, I noticed that there are but two vac taps on the carb instead of three.  The line from the rear of the carb that runs to the distributor has been T'ed and the line to the control valve added to that.  Will that supply enough vac for the control valve and not disturb the dizzy?

When You are changing gears.... and the vacuum is used in the control valve... the vacuum advance will lose some of its vacuum..
although the hole size for the control valve is Very small, so maybe You won't notice it... also it will only happen for a VERY short period of time...
If You can't feel it.... I wouldn't worry....
I would never had thought of using a tee adaptor ...
as I have a weber carb with only one vacuum outlet... but I'm using a Bosch 009 dizzy in My 68AutoBug... with no vacuum advance...

Thanks Lee!  I don't know if I am feeling it or not, as the car is new to me.  :)

My Car has been thumping when I release the gear knob....
and wants to go go go... :):)
[Its still being restored at the moment... after 8 years....:):)]

I decided to take the small vacuum line off My weber carburetor...
and it took ages for the car to start to move... even at 3000 rpm it still was VERY VERY slow to take off....
Next I  put the hose back onto the weber carby which only has one vacuum attaching pipe....  and the thumping came back and go go go etc,,,...

Next, I took a 2 inch gold colored wood screw with a fine thread, and screwed it halfway into the end of the small vacuum hose... I then added another piece of vacuum hose [1 inch long] and after I cut the head off the screw, I screwed the small extra hose onto it... the two hoses are touching each other, but not glued as yet... anyway... Now the car really goes well and doesn't thump like it was.... doing before....
[the beetle is still not registered for road use as I'm slowly doing the interior at the moment....]
but in the gravel in the driveway I can spin the wheels in Low & reverse very easily....  so the more vacuum that hose has... the more Power or Torque You have at the rear wheels.....  too much vacuum and it will thump into gear and go go go....  I may try other ways of adjusting the vacuum in that hose later.....  I'll have pics of the screw etc next week if You want to see what i'm talking about....
What will I think of next?? :):)     I was just about to pull a spare electromagnetic vacuum control valve apart... Now I won't need to ... :):)
cheers

Bocar carburetors seem to be OK.... I haven't heard anyone putting them down etc... they may not last as long as a solex but it should work as well, as I believe they are a copy of the solex  34 PICT 3  ...

cheers
