I'm restoring a 68 autostick convertible for my wife.  I want to replace the entire wiring harness for safety reasons, but having problems finding a source for the harness.  Does anyone know where I can order a complete harness, or will I have to order a standard harness and modify?

Hiya montaggio,

Pardon me if I'm jumping to conclusions, but it would seem that you have not looked far in your search for a wiring harness.  A wiring harness for a 68 should be relatively easy to find.  Try Wolfsburg West or CIP1 for very high quality products.  OEVeedub would be in that category also.

And then there is always Bob Nodvik at The Wiring Works in San Pedro, California.  Strictly the best stuff from Bob.  And he can "customize" your order to replicate the exact wiring for a 1968 AutoStick.

If you do not want to go the premium price/quality route, you really will not be adding/changing all that much if you wind up adapting a wiring harness for a 1968 manual to work in AutoStick convertible.  You'll need to allow for the line to the shift lever, lines to the Control Valve solenoid, and lines to the nuetral safety switch and transmission temp sensor.
