Where to purchase Solenoid?

Is there a source for the solenoid - this is the unit that mounts on the left firewall (to the left of the engine as you face the rear of the car).

Nothing "new" that I know of, unless you find an extremely rare NOS one, or the also very rare 3 rebuild kits for the one you have.  Otherwise you'll have to hunt down a good used unit.  They pop up on Samba from time to time at various prices.  ($25 - $100)  I think there is at least one on there now.

BTW, if you have a dead on, I would be interested in purchasing it.  (I want one to take apart and see how it works.)
